Joy Is The Fruit Of The Spirit

When we no longer have joy, we need to come back to Jesus, to gaze upon His love and finished work and allow His Holy Spirit to once again ignite the joy of our salvation in our lives. Ask the Holy Spirit to restore the joy of your salvation.

1 Thessalonians 5:18: In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Joshua 1:8: This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Galatians 5:22: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

There is a link between salvation joy and our first love for Jesus. If we allow the things of this world, and the evils of this world to rob us of the joy of our salvation, over time, our first love for Jesus will leave us also.

Revelation 2:4 says to the church at Ephesus: Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

We see that Jesus first loved us and gave Himself for us. We experience this full and complete salvation and in JOY we respond to Jesus and others in love and in gratitude.

This state of rejoicing and of joy is meant to be the ongoing response of our hearts to Jesus and all that He has accomplished.

If over time, we are overwhelmed by the evil of this world our peace and joy slip away.

Philippians 4:4 states we are to: Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Regardless of what is to come, how horrific it may be, we find comfort and joy knowing:

Psalm 28:7:The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

John 15:7-17: If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another.

Don't allow Satan to steal your joy.
