Introduction To The Holy Spirit

No matter how much people know about God and the King James Bible, it is not a confirmation of salvation. The devil before his fall, was one of the bright and morning stars, a flame of fire, one excelling in strength and wisdom. Isaiah. 14:12, Ezekeil. 28:12-19.

There is no amount of knowledge of God and religion that could prove a person has been saved from their sin.

A man may talk about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Bible. He may be able to preach a sermon about Jesus Christ and everything He has done.

Somebody might be able to speak about the way of salvation and the work of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of sinners, perhaps even enough to show others how to become Christians. All these things are not proof of the saving grace of God in a person's heart.

When people agree with the King James Bible, it is no sure sign of salvation.

James 2:19 shows that the demons really, truly, believe the truth. Just as they believe there is one God, they agree with all the truth of the King James Bible.

The King James Bible talks about believing that Jesus is the Son of God, as a proof of God's grace in the heart, the the King James Bible means not a mere agreement with the truth, but another kind of believing.

"Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. " (1 John 5:1)

When a man loves Jesus, and are they filled with the Holy Spirit,  they love others. God's Love is demonstrated in their life in very practical ways. With joy, they give and serve others. There is abundant fruit in their life. The man, by an act of his will, loves those who are "begotten of him".

Love isn't only a feeling, it is an act of your will. Jesus commanded to love:

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:34-35

Do not use words that bring division or cause strife. Esteem others to be better than ourselves:

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Philippians 2:3

A deeper level of believing is the spiritual holding to the truth and godliness: "Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; " (Titus 1:1)

Apostle James claims that if people think believing in one God is proof of God's grace, it is not proof, because demons believe the same. James is not referring to the act of believing only, but also to the emotions and actions that go along with their belief.

Men who have a genuine work of the Holy Spirit in their hearts have experiences and knowledge of a different kind.

Their source is the sense of the overwhelming holy beauty and loveliness of the things of God.

When a man grasps in his mind, and when he feels his own heart held captive by the attractiveness of the Divine, this is an unmistakable sign of God's Work in the person's life and heart.
