WHAT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT DOING?

by Charles Sivley    http://www.riversoflifekanab.org/

Think about that! What is the Holy Spirit doing in us? He's doing a work. He's taking us somewhere. Ephesians 3:20 (AMP) Now to Him Who, by (in

consequence of) the (action of His) power declaring the action of His power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and) do super-abundantly far over and above all that we (dare) ask or think (infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes or dreams] --- isn't that wonderful?

Now, we could simply conclude that the Holy Spirit is in us and He is doing all these wonderful things. That is like having a vitamin in a jar. If we don't take the vitamin, it can't do us any good; or if we don't eat the food that is before us, it cannot nourish us. In Philippians 2:13 (AMP) it says, Not in your own strength. Well, that's good news! [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for HIs good pleasure and satisfaction and delight. (14) Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among yourselves]. You will never complain about anything that you know is God's plan -- you know why you are here, you know His will and you know His plan for your life.

Let me give you one more truth about what the Holy Spirit does within us. Hebrews 13:21 (AMP) says, Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages). Amen (so be it).

It is not accomplished in our own strength. How then? Praying in the Spirit makes these verses of scripture active in our lives - for we are praying out God's plan and purpose for us.

The truth is in God's realm, it is never going to be our way, our will, our plan, but just the opposite. The truth is that when you are in God's will His words are your words, His will is your will. You are His and not your own. Praise God!

When the critics come to you or against you, it means nothing. There will be no grumbling, complaining, faultfinding, questioning, or doubting because the Holy Spirit will have already revealed it to you and most of all He will have prepared you. You will know who will stand with you and who will turn against you and who will run when the opposition is great. And it will be!

"...ENERGIZING AND CREATING IN YOU THE POWER AND DESIRE, BOTH TO WILL AND TO WORK FOR HIS GOOD PLEASURE..." PHILIPPIANS 2:13 (AMP)
