Fear of The Lord Is The Beginning Of Wisdom

Psalm 111:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

As we prepare for the end times, many people believe they are ready simply by believing in Jesus Christ. They expect there to be a pre-tribulation rapture that will take them away before anything bad happens. Pastors around the world are sold out to the New World Order and lying to their flock about many topics including the pre-tribulation rapture. Pastor Weaver addresses this issue here.

People may think that it is enough to just be saved, accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, and that their salvation in Him is enough to keep them safe regardless of what God allows to happen in these end times. I have heard people joke about believing in the "pan-rapture", and then stating that they believe "it will all pan out".

Old Testament Saints and New Testament Disciples as it is written in the Bible experienced and went through tests, trials, suffering and tribulation. Acts 14:22

The Bible shows God's people taking action in the face of tribulation. Lot had to leave Sodom, not stand in faith through the brimstone shower, Noah had to build the ark, Joseph was given a revelation from God that seven years of bounty was given so that they could store up the bounty and survive the famine.

The Book of Revelation shows us what must soon come to pass, but it also includes instructions for what to do.

Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

We are commanded to come out of Babylon (Rev 18:4), fear God and give Him the Glory (Rev 14:7), refuse to take the mark of the beast (Rev 14:9). These scriptures are instructions and confirmation that there is no pre-tribulation rapture.

Many believers are setting themselves up to live off grid, or considering moving to foreign countries. The issues with taking these steps towards doing "something" is that without God's revelation, how can we possibly know the exact place to relocate to or to set up an off grid residence? When we stop and take a look at the big picture, no one knows exactly where it will be safe until God reveals this information to each individual believer.

Choosing not to relocate, stocking up, investing in the 5 G's - God, guts, groceries, guns and gold is the wise choice. Joseph stocked up in his time. He prepared for the famine. If we are prepared and others are not, we can be a powerful witness for Jesus Christ in the end times. We can reach out to others in their time of need, share the salvation message and meet the felt needs of the people.

There are many websites sharing doomsday information and predicting the date of the rapture. Generally these predictions are not accurate or helpful. If this information was accurate, what could we do about it?

It is a constant stream of new information that causes stress, worry and concern. Jesus asked in Matthew 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

Jesus also said that if we focus on God and His Kingdom, all these other things will be taken care of.

Matthew 6:33-34 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

God is not a respecter of persons. There is no favoritism Acts 10:34  Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

Luke 21:36  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

2 Peter 3:11: Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Zephaniah 2:3:  Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord's anger.

These scriptures all state salvation to all who seek God in righteousness, humility and faith. Believing in Jesus Christ is not enough. Lot, Noah & Joseph were all righteous men that had to take specific actions to save themselves.

A time is coming when believers will be told to move to safety, just like Moses told Israel to move out of Egypt, God will instruct believers to take specific actions.

The Bible instructs us that there is a plan and to be a part of it when the time comes we must stay alert, remain in prayer, in God's Word and in obedience to the will of God in holy conduct and godliness.

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28
